One of the easiest and helpful leg strengthening exercises for seniors is the knee extension. This exercise can be performed in any chair. Simply sit comfortably back in the seat so that your thighs are supported. Extend your right leg 10 times, then your left leg 10 times. To get the most out of your exercise, try counting 2 seconds up and 4 seconds down. Remember to keep breathing and not hold your breath.
