Heel To Toe Balance Exercise For Seniors


Have you ever wondered how those female gymnasts learn to walk on a 4 inch beam? Well they usually start very young with simple balance exercise for seniors like today’s exercise. The classic “Heel to toe”. Give it a try. If your balance is poor, hold on to a wall or counter at first until you feel stronger. Look forward at eye level, relax your shoulders, lightly hold on to a counter or wall, and begin by placing one foot in front of the other. If that is too hard, then simply walk with your feet closer together than you ordinarily would, until you can place them heel to toe.
