PODCAST GUEST CHECKLIST

Thank you so much for your willingness to be a guest on Eldergym Senior Fitness Podcast. I believe listeners will find your insights to be clarifying and inspiring, helping them to make positive changes in their lives.

This checklist will help you prep for our podcast.

Things I need
Send a 150 word brief bio  introduction which I will voice over in post production. Send a photo of yourself for the post thumbnail picture. Also include your website, promotions, social media, or anything else you would like included in the show notes.

Format
The interview will be a Skype video call. If you do not have Skype installed you can download it here. I will call on the appointed day and time through Skype. My Skype name is seniorfitnessradio

Audio Tips
Find a quiet spot to speak. A bedroom can work well, as it tends to have minimal echo. Turn off or stand clear of any devices with audible sounds.

Please ensure you use a headset or microphone, ideally not just your computer mic (for better audio quality). Be sure nothing (clothing) rubs against the mic.

Note: If this is a audio-only interview, we'll do our recording via a Skype voice call to preferably your landline. Mobile phone quality is usually poor.

Video Tips
If using a laptop, make sure the top of the screen (webcam) is at eye-level. Place books or an empty box underneath. Look at the webcam and not the screen. It may seem awkward but really does look much better.

Your face should be lit with good lighting. Make sure there is no glare on your glasses. Avoid having a cluttered background. Shut down all other programs or wireless connections that eat up bandwidth (e.g., tablets, other mobile devices.

Important! Ensure your spot has a strong, stable wireless signal and fast connection speed. Wired direct connection is best. Otherwise, video may be poor & unusable.

Interview Flow
This is meant to be a personal 1 on 1 conversation rather than an "interview." We'll do a little sound check and tech check at the start to make sure everything looks and sounds good. We always edit things later, so don't worry about having to sound super polished.

I will start by asking about how you started in your career or interest as it relates to seniors up to the present. Personal stories are the best. From there we will simply explore your expertise and relate as much as we can to the everyday senior wanting to improve their quality of life.

I'll be dong my best to keep our conversation moving along to fit within our target conversation length, usually 45-60 minutes, so I might interrupt you to keep things flowing.

At the end of our conversation I will ask for how listeners can find you on social media, your website, where to buy your products, take your classes, find out more information on your business, etc. Just be yourself and enjoy our conversation!

Please drop me a note if you have any questions.
